On Sunday, November 30th, the Japan Cup (G1) was run at the Tokyo Racecourse, where the Irish horse CALANDAGAN (IRE) won in a record time of 2:20.3, defeating the local MASQUERADE BALL (JPN) by a head, and also becoming the first foreign horse to win the Japan Cup in 20 years.
